ATHENS REGISTRATION

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ATHENS USERS - All usernames with the prefix hiw will no longer be valid after 31 December 2004.

New Athens usernames (prefix nhs) can be obtained by completing the self registration form at: https://www.athens.nhs.uk/region/nhsswr/

All NHS staff and primary health care professionals working within the South West Region may register for an Athens username and password to access a number of electronic resources from both work and home. These include access to some full text electronic journals and clinical databases such as Medline, PsycINFO and Cinahl.

Undergraduate medical, nursing and allied health students should approach their University or College for usernames and passwords for access to resources.

From 1 January 2005 valid Athens usernames will have the prefix nhs - follow the link above to obtain one.
