Against Breast Cancer
Against Breast Cancer (ABC) is a registered UK based charity, which funds research into secondary spread breast cancer. Facts are provided about the incidence of breast cancer, causative factors, breast screening, chemotherapy, surgery, breast reconstruction and secondary spread. This site is aimed at patients and health professionals.


NHS breast screening programme
The NHS Breast Screening Programme provides free breast screening every three years for all women in the UK aged 50 and over and this programme aims to reduce the number of women who die from breast cancer. Providing comprehensive information on the NHS Breast Screening Progamme, this site also provides additional information covering the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, a Database of Research Literatue, breast screening statistics, information leaflets, guidelines, and links to other relevant Web resources.


Breast screening : the facts : 2006 edition
This leaflet, aimed at a lay audience, provides information on breast screening (mammography) and the NHS Breast Screening Programme. It outlines the importance of breast screening, where to go for breast screening, what to expect during the breast screening procedure, what to do if you are called back for another mammogram, and what to do if treatment is required.


Clinical standards for working in a breast speciality
This 23-page guidance document is published by the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) in February 2007. The clinical standards provide guidance to nursing staff and are designed to promote uniform and high quality care.
