Taking action : evidence based nursing report
"Taking action: moving towards evidence based practice" is an executive summary report from the Foundation for Nursing Studies (FoNS). It is based on a consultation process to track the development of evidence based nursing practice in the UK.



Centre for Evidence-Based Nursing
The Centre for Evidence-Based Nursing at the University of York collaborates with health professionals to identify evidence-based practice through primary research and systematic reviews.



Promoting excellence in care through research and development : an RCN position statement
This position statement from the Royal College of Nursing outlines the beliefs and values of nurses on the role of research and development in nursing essential to evidence based practice, and identifies how the agenda can be progressed and by whom.



Clinical effectiveness: where does nurse education fit?

This study was designed to explore issues around definitions of clinical effectiveness, research based practice or evidence based health care amongst nurses, and to examine the role education has in these matters. The report was written by Michael Lavelle, a Nurse Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Midwifery Studies, University of Wales, Bangor.

epic is a Department of Health funded project to develop evidence- based guidelines for the prevention of healthcare associated infections (HAIs). It is a nurse-led but multidisciplinary project based at the Wolfson Institute of Health Sciences, Thames Valley University.
